what are moodloops made of
moodloops are unique charms handmade from porcelain. why porcelain? because it’s strong, light, and tougher than it looks. it has a smooth, glassy surface that resists scuffs, makes colours pop, and details sharp. these are real ceramic pieces, the same material used for cups and bowls, reimagined as playful jewellery. 

how are they made?
every step is slow, detailed and intricate. each moodloop begins as porcelain clay, cut and shaped by hand. once dry, it’s bisque-fired to 900°C. this hardens the clay so it can be sanded and glazed safely. after glazing, it’s fired again to 1240°C, where the porcelain is vitrified and the glaze fuses into a smooth, glassy surface. each firing brings subtle variations, so no two charms ever turn out exactly alike. that’s what we love about it and we hope you do too!

do moodloops come with hoops
nope! charms and hoops are sold separately. you can use hoops you already own, or grab ours if you want extras.

why are charms sold individually (not in pairs)?
because ears don’t have to match! maybe you want two of the same, maybe two different, maybe just one. we don’t believe in boxing you into a “set” when you can mix and match your own way.

why separate charms + hoops?
we’re tired of being stuck buying a whole hoop + charm combo when we have hoops at home. moodloops lets you snag new charms without rebuying what you already have. no extras, no waste, no oops-that’s-the-wrong-metal moments.

are they heavy?
moodloops are made from porcelain, so they’ve got a little more substance than polymer clay, resin, or acrylic, but they’re still much lighter than glass, stone, or metal charms. comfy enough for everyday wear, with that “real jewellery” weight that feels premium without pulling on your ears.

are they waterproof?
the charms are vitrified porcelain and glazed, so they’re water-safe. they won’t absorb or stain! Just be mindful of the hoops: if they’re plated, avoid swimming, showers, perfume, and hairspray to keep them shiny.

how to keep your loops happy
your moodloops are made from porcelain, which means they’re sturdy little guys, but still glass-like at heart. to keep them in their best mood:

charms: porcelain is strong but not invincible. avoid drops on hard floors. wipe gently with a soft cloth if dusty, or feel free to wash them with soap and water, just like your dishes (they’re literally made of the same stuff).

hoops: you don’t need to buy ours (use the ones you already love!), but if they’re plated, avoid perfume, hairspray, sweat, swimming, or showers.

keep your charms and hoops in a jewellery dish or box (instead of letting them roll around in a bag), so they stay chip-free and shiny.
